How it works

From booking to your first roll down.

Taking a live Pilates class on Zoom is simpler than it sounds. Here is exactly what happens, from the moment you book to the end of your first class.

Step by step

Five steps, start to finish

01

Pick a class

Look through the weekly schedule and choose a time. If Pilates is new to you, or it has been a while, start with a Beginner class.

02

Book your spot

Once you book, you will receive a confirmation email with your private Zoom link and a short checklist for setting up your space.

03

Set up your space

Lay out your mat and place your laptop or tablet on the floor a few steps away, side on to your mat, so we can see you from head to toe.

04

Join five minutes early

Click your link a little before class. We say hello, ask about any injuries or sore spots, and check your camera angle.

05

Move together

Your instructor teaches live, watches the screen, and gives cues and corrections as you go. You can unmute any time to ask a question.

Setup tips

Get the most from a class on screen

Put your camera at floor height, side on to your mat

Face a window or lamp so your body is lit from the front

Wear fitted clothes so we can see your alignment

Switch to speaker view so the instructor fills your screen

Keep the volume up and your phone on silent

Questions

Common questions

Do I need any Pilates experience?

No. Our Beginner classes are built for people who have never done Pilates. We teach the basics step by step and give you an easier option for every exercise.

What equipment do I need?

A mat and a device with a camera. A small towel or cushion for your head helps. If we ever use a prop, we will tell you ahead of time and suggest something from around the house.

Do I have to keep my camera on?

It is up to you. With your camera on, your instructor can see your form and give you personal cues. You can switch it off at any point.

I have an injury. Can I still join?

Please check with your doctor first, then tell us about it when you book or before class starts. We will give you modifications, or suggest a private session if that suits you better.

What if I miss a class?

Let us know as early as you can and we will help you move to another time in the schedule.

When is Video On Demand coming?

We are recording the library now. Join the notify list on the Home or Services page and you will hear from us the day it opens.

Ready when you are.

Pick a time that works, book your spot, and we will see you on the mat.
